I started with their ringleader… The big one in the corner above the shower, and then, seven evictions later I am proud to say I have won the battle for my bathroom.

As some of you may know, I have been waging a war against the antisocial spiders that have been taking over my bathroom for several months now, and seeing as earlier today I counted seven, in a room no bigger than three square-metres, I decided it was time to take drastic measures.

Firstly to the kitchen cupboard for a suitable container in which to encapsulate said beasties. After much deliberation I opt for the wine glass (It was nearest the front.) Next to find a piece of card… which just so happened to take the form of an orthodontist appointment reminder I found.

Armed to the gunnels, I march into the death-zone. Not realizing, of course, that I haven’t yet unlocked the window out of which I planned to eject my overstayed visitors and ended up having to blither around the house for what seemed like a lifetime trying to find a key that fits.

Many minutes later…

HA! I have the key, the windows are open and the battle commences… Being the creative person that I am, I decided to go in size order, starting with a big burly chap above the shower head. He wasn’t too pleased about this, but for all the sneaking up on me and plummeting onto my person while I’m at my most vulnerable, I felt that he had overstayed his welcome.

With the big one out of the way, shortly followed by 6 of his other minions, I bolt the window and emerge from the cobweb soaked battlefield victorious, thus ending my slightly pathetic trilogy of spider-oriented journal entries.
